What I Practice
I received my Masters of Social Work from Fordham University in New York and I’ve had the pleasure of serving as a therapist for over 10 years. I am EMDR Trained and affiliated with the EMDR International Association. I am a CBT-certified psychotherapist and have received training in Parent Management Training. Additionally, I have experience offering support and supervision to unlicensed clinicians.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a common form of talk therapy that’s great at treating a wide range of issues. We’ll take a goal-oriented approach towards exploring your specific life challenges, practicing coping techniques, and developing skills to help your thrive.
EMDR Therapy
(Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
This powerful form of psychotherapy enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress resulting from disturbing life experiences. During EMDR sessions, I’ll work with you to identify a specific problem as the focus of the treatment session, then help you change the emotions, thoughts, or behaviors that result. This allows the brain to resume its natural healing process.
Parent Management Training (PMT)
Together, we’ll start to understand why your child is acting out, along with valuable and established behavior management strategies for you to use at home. These strategies will help to change your child's problem behaviors using the principles of learning theory and behavior modification. We’ll focus on positive reinforcement while also setting age appropriate limits.
Telehealth & Virtual Therapy
There are many reasons online therapy may be beneficial for you. Whether you’re in a rural area with less access to services, a busy stay-at-home parent, have a complex schedule, struggling with health complications, lacking childcare, or any other need—telehealth and virtual therapy may be a better fit for you. Online therapy expands your options and gets you support when and where you need it.
Clinical Supervision
Working with unlicensed clinician is a privilege and a joy. This allows me to help the next group of Social Workers learn and become part of our profession. I’ll provide the guidance and support to help you reach your goals, develop professionally, and grow as a therapist.
